Welcome to Year 10!
At Tauranga Girls’ College all students in Years 9 to 11 are required to take Mathematics and most students continue to study Mathematics beyond Year 11. The New Zealand Curriculum (2007) for Mathematics and Statistics is presented in three strands: Number and Algebra, Geometry and Measurement, and Statistics. In Year 10 there are six units of work, each lasting about six weeks and each topic has content from one of the curriculum strands. An outline of the topics and their assessment is given here: Extension classes Non-extension classes |
